The Chinese Spring Festival has come to an end – and, searching for higher wages, record numbers of workers have quit their jobs, testing the famous stability of the eastern production line, according to this Wall St Journal article. Meanwhile, it turns out that western wages are now as high as those on the eastern seaboard, which means that companies such as Foxconn who have shifted production inland, are seeing little economic benefit – merely sufficient numbers of workers.
