While earlier reports this week stated that US cargo carrier Evergreen International was continuing to operate, sources in the US – as well as a memo from the pilot’s union – indicate that the last military flight was on Friday, and all staff have now left the building. The last freighter to fly has been parked at “boneyard” Victorville, according to this press report. One source told The Loadstar that Chapter 7 bankruptcy proceedings were under way, in which a company ceases operations and assets are divided among creditors.
