Empty containers cost Maersk Line $1billion a year

The airfreight industry is slowly coming round to the idea of pooling ULDs. But, it would seem, the shipping industry is still a long way off. This article reports that Maersk spends $1bn a year shipping empty containers, and asks if a collaborative approach with other lines would be better.
