China, the world’s no. 1 apple producer, has its sights set on exporting its fruit to the United States. Whilst many growers welcome the possibility of a mutual trade agreement opening the Chinese market to American fruit exports, there are concerns that Chinese imports could come with pests that damage American orchards.
