As businesses in New York and New Jersey struggle to get back some sort of normality, the longer-term affects on the supply chain of a disaster which happened just eight weeks before Christmas are beginning to emerge. This sad tale of small businesses, lost containers and ruined products show how fragile commerce can be. Meanwhile, the Port of Baltimore is hoping to pick up the traffic that would have gone to New York and New Jersey.
