So who said e-freight couldn’t happen? Well, this isn’t really e-freight, but in a new study, 81% of the sea freight industry said that it wants to receive invoices electronically. Not only does it cut costs – apparently the average cost of processing a paper invoice in Europe is €30 – but it also helps with dispute resolution and transparency, as about 20 to 25% of freight invoices contain mistakes.
