Shanghai’s Spring Airlines more than doubled net profits to Rmb619.5m (US$97m) in the first half of 2015. Cargo volumes for the low-cost carrier increased 5% to 23,700 tonnes.

Spring operates from Shenyang, Shijiazhuang and Shenzhen as well as its main Shanghai hub. It has 51 A320s in its fleet and is scheduled to take delivery of five more during the second half. New international Asian routes including Nagoya, Japan, and Jeju, South Korea, are promised.
