IAG Cargo has appointed Lewis Girdwood as its new chief financial officer, replacing Sarah Nicholl.
Mr Girdwood joins the carrier from EasyJet, where he spent the past seven years, most recently as head of financial planning and analysis.
He was responsible for several projects, including the 2013 acquisition of 100 next-generation Airbus A320s.
Chief Executive of IAG Cargo Drew Crawley said Mr Girdwood would bring a diverse skillset drawn from multiple industries, from which IAG Cargo can learn.
As The Loadstar went to press, the carrier had made no comment on factors leading to Ms Nicholl’s replacement. However, the LinkedIn profile of the IAG veteran states she is taking a sabbatical.
Ms Nicholl joined British Airways in 2004 as a commercial finance officer. During her 13 years with the carrier she held eight different roles before being appointed CFO in October 2015.
