A probably much-needed dose of scepticism over the rise of 3D printing technology, and the threats it poses to traditional manufacturing and, by association, the supply chains that service them. Basically, the technology isn’t nearly as advanced as its proponents claim; its applications aren’t as wide-ranging as is commonly thought; and much of what it produces needs further work before it can be used.
