As delivery firms struggle with ever-increasing volumes, chocolate turns out to be one of the biggest culprits. According to this piece by the BBC, almost half the weight of a box of chocolates is its packaging. Which? magazine claims Ferrero Rocher is the biggest culprit, with some 42% of the total weight of its collection tray being wrapping. And of course there are other issues that can arise here, not least of which is recycling. Only 11% of a Ferrero Rocher’s packaging is fit for recycling.
