It seems India’s Mahindra Logistics is following the growth-by-acquisition-and-consolidation strategy. The Hindu Times reports that the 3PL is eyeing up “four to five” South-east Asian forwarders. Chief executive Priojshaw Sarkari told media a deal would happen in the next six months, with expectations of a $50m-$75m spend. “Large market presence” appears to be the key requirement, with Mahindra’s bosses open to the prospect of a joint-venture.
