Argentina is not generally known as a transit hub. In fact, in recent years many operators have tried to avoid it altogether. But drug traffickers have noted low chances of prosecution and porous borders, making it ideal for transfer traffic than its geography might lead you to think. Small aircraft from Bolivia or Paraguay do mid-air drops. The shipments are then transported to ships at the ports waiting to come to Europe. An interesting article on this illegal supply chain.
