WorldACD has analysed the latest air cargo market trends, looking at volumes, yields and trade routes. While there has been some positive news, with yields no longer in decline, volume growth has started to slide again. Most worrying, for GSAs at least, is that the levels of GSA-generated yields appear to be lower than airline sales teams. Interesting.

October 07, 2013 at 12:01 pmI suspect the decline in yield is related to recent consolidations in the GSA market, with ever larger GSAs representing more and more carriers, resulting in a conflict of interest. Picking the right GSA – i.e. a GSA which can provide the necessary focus for a carrier, is therefore more important than ever.
