With only just over four months until the end of the Brexit transition period, the prospect of the UK and the EU agreeing a trade deal looks increasingly unlikely.

While HMRC is promising a “light touch”, initially, for imports to the UK from 1 January, exports to the EU could face strict border controls. As ever the motto is: failure to prepare will result in preparing to fail.
