Despite a challenging market, the global freight forwarder Scan Global Logistics just announced its quarterly financial report for the first three months of 2024, which showed a solid result according to plan.

A cocktail of continued sustained capacity demand, blank sailing programs and the Red Sea situation are causing complications within the ocean market in an overall highly competitive market. Scan Global Logistics deliver results for the quarter that is according to the company’s plan and maintains the outlook for 2024.

In hard core facts, Scan Global Logistics delivered EUR 490m in revenue, the same result as in their Q4 report for 2023. Looking at EBITDA before special items, Scan Global Logistics delivers EUR 40m, which is also on par with Q4 2023. Due to the solid result as expected in Q1 2024, the outlook for 2024 remains EUR 195-215m of EBITDA before special items.

Allan Melgaard is satisfied with the result: “I’m pleased that we continue to deliver according to plan and maintain the outlook for 2024 despite ever-changing market conditions, which make it very complicated to navigate.”
