Dube TradePort has been somewhat unlucky in its choice of management over the years. The KwaZulu-Natal government freezone and airport has dismissed its latest CEO, Saxen van Coller, claiming that she had hidden criminal offences. She was suspended in February over claims that she had falsified information about her qualifications on her CV, which stated that she had a BA, an MBA and a doctorate. Ms van Coller, who changed her name from Yvette Coetzee in 2008, is said to be considering appealing the dismissal. Some media in South Africa have reported that the legitimacy of her qualifications had been questioned in previous roles too. Her predecessor, Rohan Persad, resigned after being accused of receiving kickbacks.
