Hot on the heels of the news that TNT’s main Dutch union backs its restructuring plan, which involves 4,000 job losses, comes a story showing that rival UPS is not attracting that same kind of support from its workforce. The five-year deal with the Teamsters expires in July, and according to this article, the two negotiating teams have a long way to go before an agreement is reached. The talks have been complicated by a dissident wing of the union stirring up more trouble. One to watch.
