Freight rate benchmarking platform Xeneta has expanded with the development of an NVO commercial team.
It will be headed by Paul Mullins, previously of container shipping electronic booking platform INTTRA and a freight forwarding veteran of Agility and DHL.
He is joined by Ronald Plevier as director of business development. He also spent the past two years at Inttra as regional sales director for European markets and brings strong supply chain credentials gained over 20 years with Geodis and Danzas Air Express International – now DHL.
Earlier, Xeneta hired Jocelyn Hansen, who had been with INTTRA for around 15 years before she left in October 2015 for a year’s stint as a consultant at Turnkey Group.
Thomas Sorbo, Xeneta chief operating officer, said: “In the past year, we have made enormous strides in the freight forwarding arena where we now count some of the world’s largest NVOs as customers.
“Thanks to the hard work done so far by Andreas Leichert, director of business development NVO, with the incoming team I have no doubt that we will continue knocking down doors and gaining ground in the industry.”
Last month, the company launched added reefer container rates to its platform, attempting to cash in on the growing market.
