WiseTech Global is buying its way into the South American marketplace with an $11.8m acquisition of Bysoft. WiseTech, owner of CargoWise, provides software for logistics companies; Bysoft does much the same in Brazil, providing software for freight forwarding, customs broking and express shipping segments. Bysoft boasts clients that include DHL, FedEx, UPS and Schenker. It has particular experience in cross-border transactions, said WiseTech, making it attractive. The pair have cooperated since 2015.
