Balsam Hill– one of the world’s largest online retailers of realistic artificial Christmas trees and other seasonal decorations – has appointed Walker Logistics to manage part of its UK supply chain for the forthcoming 2017 season. 100 per cent of Balsam Hill’s UK sales are online via the company’s website www.balsamhill.co.uk and, of course, orders spike in the months leading up to the festive period and for a few weeks afterwards when Balsam Hill holds its annual clearance sale. At peak times, Walker will pick, pack and dispatch more than 2,000 orders per day for the client.
