President Trump has been given the clearest sign yet that maybe he should abandon his trade war with China, after a succession of industry leaders said they had grown weary of the tit-for-tat stand-off with Beijing. DC Velocity reports that, following news out of Washington on Thursday that the US and China had agreed to hold another round of trade talks in October, the National Retail Federation, Retail Industry Leaders’ Association and the Consumer Technology Association voiced varying levels of disdain at the conflict.
