Cindy Miller has been promoted to president of the freight forwarding division of integrator UPS.
A UPS veteran of some 28 years, Ms Miller began her career as a driver in Allentown, Pennsylvania, in 1988. After holding a variety of roles across the world, she was most recently president of the Europe region, during which UPS “achieved record growth and service levels”.
The firm said: “Ms Miller also directed key expansions in the healthcare and retail/B2C sectors, including the rollout of UPS My Choice and the UPS Access Point network. In addition, she oversaw multiple acquisitions and the opening of new or expanded facilities across Europe.”
Ms Miller said: “The air freight industry is central to the development of trade and the global economy. With a senior management team with more than 1,200 combined years of experience, customers can rely on UPS to partner with them on their global logistics needs.
“Customers can also benefit from the tracking capabilities offered by UPS Flex Global View and our world class brokerage services – tools that can help them expand with confidence into new markets globally.”
