Just before announcing its fourth-quarter results, UPS announced a lot of new services and products it plans to introduce. Was it to distract from the results, which, while not awful, missed revenue forecasts by $90m? Who knows. Nonetheless, announce it did: a new super-hub in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; more weekend pick-ups and deliveries; a deal with UK electric vehicle start-up Arrival; a new service from its drone delivery arm … the list goes on, as Freightwaves shows.
