Turkmenistan appears to be trying to entice logistics players to the country. Not only is it improving its railways, and has built a large seaport on the Caspian, but now it is luring cargo airlines with the promise of cheap fuel. The government has said it will offer preferential fuel prices to carriers which opt for the country for technical stops. Cargolux has already enjoyed the discount, while other carriers likely to benefit include Lufthansa Cargo, Turkish and Unitop.
