Another day, another tech logistics start-up, raising another umpteen million. This time, it’s Chicago’s two-year-old FourKites, and $13m in funding. FourKites, like many others, is focused on the trucking business. It is offering an app to haulage customers which enables them to track the trucks with a single data point, which can work across all trucking companies. So far, it has got 200 shipper customers – including some big box shippers who have said “we’ve been waiting for this for 30 years”. Concise but interesting interview from TechCrunch.
