Advanced Supply Chain has appointed David McWilliams as transport operations director.
Mr McWilliams brings more than 25 years’ experience to the business, having held previous senior operational roles at various operators including Eddie Stobart and CM Downton.
Chief executive Mike Danby described Mr McWilliams as an “important” new addition to the team, and said he would play a key role in guiding and mentoring the team.
“We continue to invest in both our people and fleet, building on our strong performance this year to date,” said Mr Danby. “[These appointments] will allow us to provide clients with a service that consistently goes above and beyond, supported by our innovative intelligent logistics technology.”
Mr McWilliams’ appointment follows that of Sandy Hunter as financial director, with both moves part of a wider investment programme to meet the company’s “ambitious” growth forecasts.
Last month it announced a £5.7m fleet investment.
