Steve Manser, one of the best-known names in the air cargo charter sector has joined the Hunt & Palmer Cargo commercial team to assist with its business development.
Mr Manser has spent most of the last decade working in the Middle East, and held successive roles with Maximus, Saudia Cargo and lastly Qatar Airways.
Prior to that he had an 18-year stint as operations director at Chapman Freeborn.
In a letter to prospective clients and industry peers and colleagues, Mr Manser wrote that Hunt & Palmer wanted to “provide an alternative to the usual suppliers in the charter market” by developing long-term relationships with both suppliers and customers.
“We offer experience from within the industry, value long term relationships and although we might be smaller than some of our multi-national competitors we are not necessarily weaker and have key relationships with carriers/suppliers all around the world.
“Consistent service levels are often forgotten, people receive poor information and advice at quotation stage. There are so many different variables with each and every flight, and attention to detail is the key to a successful operation. We firmly believe in reputation, trust and a quality of consistent service,” he wrote.
