Sorry IndustryWeek - Apple is not a "Manufacturer" and not "Best"

Oooh, controversial… but you get the feeling there’s more than a grain of truth here. This is a reaction to IndustryWeek’s lauding of Apple as the US manufacturer with the best supply chain. The key argument is that Apple is neither a proper manufacturer, nor does it have the best supply chain – its production is entirely outsourced while its supply chain is simply a one-way conveyor belt.
