Head honchos at the UK Chamber of Shipping, British Ports Association and the UK Major Ports Group have collaborated on an op-ed expounding on the crucial role ports will play in the post-Brexit economy. The article also serves as a platform to launch the UK Ports for International Trade initiative. It will focus not only on ports trading with the EU, but also those that trade further afield. And as they say, the UK’s ports “must and will” play a central role in positioning the country at the centre of global trade.
