China’s Peruvian dilemma
Peru has begun investigations into 17 shipping lines for alleged price-fixing. Authorities have seized emails and other evidence they believe may show that a cartel was in place between 2009 and 2013 between Callao port and Asia. Each shipping line has 30 days to submit a defence. The move follows similar probes by the EU and China.
