Neovia Logistics has appointed Kit Boyd as its new chief operations officer from 16 January.
Mr Boyd joins Neovia, which changed its name from Caterpillar Logistics in 2012 after it was bought from machinery manufacturer Caterpillar by a Goldman Sachs investment fund, from Ingram Micro where he was senior vice president of global logistics.
In a logistics career spanning more than 20 years, Mr Boyd has worked at several firms and been active in various professional groups, including the Warehouse Education and Research Council and the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals.
At Neovia he will report directly to chief executive Pat Olney, who said Mr Boyd’s extensive experience in logistics and manufacturing and his track record of driving significant operational improvements would bring a valuable perspective to the team
“We look forward to working with him to take Neovia to the next level of growth and operational excellence,” added Mr Olney.
