Ever wondered what happened to the UAE’s Maximus Air? It started with such promise: an AN-124, deals with Etihad and DHL… But since the acquisition of A300s (two are now stored, and the rest sold to DHL), things took a turn for the worse. Fathi Buhazza, former CEO, is now apparently the chief of a flotation spa, and the carrier made a $58.5m loss last year, according to its, presumably unhappy, shareholder, Abu Dhabi Aviation.
