It’s finished. The last ditch attempts to keep the UK’s Mnaston airport alive have failed, and the airport is due to close next week. On Monday, US firm RiverOak Investment saw its bid to develop and manage Manston Airport rejected, while an attempt by staff and locals to keep it open also failed. It could now be turned into a housing development, which some sources believe was the owner’s intention all along.
