More progress in India. It says it’s ready to look at an agreement on trade facilitation, which will include “time-bound clearance of certain types of consignments” and the processing of documents before they reach India. It is good news for importers – but there is concern over the plan to release expedited shipments within three hours of arrival – which will benefit courier companies most. And – this being India – there are other worries too. An interesting read for anyone importing into the country.
