French freight forwarder Bansard International group has appointed Laurent Deneubourg (pictured above) as its new global director of air freight.
Mr Deneubourg joined the company last week, and is a veteran of the freight forwarding industry, having spent 13 years at Panalpina in the US, which was followed by another five years with SNCF-owned Geodis – two of which were in the US and the last three years in France.
His previous role was head of air freight at Geodis Freight Forwarding France.
“Laurent will be the head of airfreight globally where he will be instrumental in the development of this activity commercially and operationally,” the company said.
Bansard had been looking in June to boost its air freight with the potential purchase of ASL France. However, sources told Loadstar Premium in July that the deal was struggling to go through on price issues.
