Gavin Murray has joined The Loadstar as director business development.

Mr Murray has more than 30 years’ experience in publishing, most recently as commercial director at Air Cargo Media, which he still represents for the moment. Prior to this, he was European advertising director at Readers’ Digest, where he was responsible for €20m in advertising revenue across 16 countries.

He aims to help take The Loadstar to the next level, creating a greater bond between the publication, forwarders and shippers, and look to create products which will benefit the logistics industry and its customers.

“I am looking forward to working with The Loadstar and taking it to new heights,” he said. “It’s exciting.”

Publisher Alex Lennane said: “It’s a shame he’s called Gavin, as we now have two Alexs, and two Gavins in what is a pretty small company. But aside from his name, we are delighted to have someone with so much experience come to help develop The Loadstar’s business.”
