Another year, another budget. And again, the chancellor has frozen fuel duty rates. Despite preventing increased prices, industry associations have responded with disappointment that their desperate pleas to cut the cost of fuel went unheeded. Logistics Manager reports that Road Haulage Association chief executive Richard Burnett has subsequently called on the chancellor to amend the budget to introduce a fuel duty rebate scheme for “essential users”.
