Europe’s airlines are calling for “robust and harmonised” EU-wide safety regulations on drone use, following the chaos that has gripped Gatwick today. The airport has seen major delays after it was forced to suspend all flights after reports of multiple drones flying in the airspace around the London gateway. A statement from the European Regions Airline Association (ERA) said “necessary steps” were needed to prevent a repeat of such an incident. Air Cargo News reports.
