It will, perhaps, come as no surprise to discover that the EU is being berated from across the board on its amended ETS proposals variously labelled “ridiculous” and “a mess”. The EU is also being blamed for a lack of a Plan B for its proposals, which are set to come in on 1 January, and that aviation tax revenue collection is “not in the competence of the Commission”.
