Ethiopian Airlines has opened the largest air cargo terminal in Africa at Addis Ababa Airport. Developed in unison with Acunis, a joint venture of Amova and Unitechnik specialising in air cargo intralogistics, the facility is expected to tranship roughly 600,000 tons of freight annually. There are also plans to double its capacity in the near future. Chief executive of the carrier Tewolde Gebremariam told Arabian Supply Chain the $125m venture was a “major achievement” for both the country and the airline.
