Delta Cargo has appointed Vishal Bhatnagar as director of its cargo control centre – a newly created role.
Mr Bhatnagar’s appointment follows a more-than-decade long career with Lufthansa Cargo.
He joined the German flag carrier in 2002 as process manager before being appointed general manager in 2005; then, in 2010, he took over as as head of operations and processes for the carrier’s Americas business.
Mr Bhatnagar will be responsible for the central control and delivery of all worldwide freight and mail, from booking all the way through to customer pick-up. He will also have responsibility for the carrier’s trucking, logistics, trade compliance and cargo customer service centres.
Vice president of Delta Cargo Shawn Cole said: “He joins Delta Cargo at an exciting time, with our strong focus on operational reliability and improving the customer experience/ He really will be a valuable asset to the success of Delta Cargo and the new Cargo Control Center.”
