Despite government appeals for calm, the protests in Turkey seem set to continue. But, say exporters, it is business as usual and there has been no slowdown in output. That could change, however, as the United Transport Workers’ Union, which represents 11 smaller unions, has started a two-day strike in sympathy with the anti-government protesters.
