The European Court of Justice has dismissed British Airway’s attempts to have a €104m air cargo cartel ruling thrown out, despite recognising sufficient procedural errors during the case. BA is one of a number of carriers wrapped up in the €790m case for price-fixing on fuel and security surcharges on cargo flights between 1999 and 2006. As Air Cargo News reports, it is not the only carrier to appeal the decision – 10 other airlines announced in March that they too would be appealing the fines – although, based on this judgment, their chances would appear to be getting slimmer.
