OK, we wouldn’t normally send you to an article that is quite so commercially led, but if you can get past the advertising in this, there is an interesting note about air freight capacity out of Asia to the US  – and even Europe. While carriers have been reporting steady transpacific volumes for some time, it would seem that finally there is to be something of a peak. A late thanksgiving and early Chinese New Year are thought to be contributing to the 15% rise in spot rates in October. Finally, more cheery news for the air freight crowd.
