Green groups want environmental conditions on bailouts and some airlines (like Ryanair) argue that any support schemes should be open to all airlines and be proportionate to each firm’s share of traffic. It has threatened legal action if the EU allows bailouts that “selectively gift billions of euros to inefficient flag-carriers”, Euractiv reports.
