The air cargo industry has enjoyed some good news lately. And according to this study by commissioned by IATA, there is more room for optimism. The report found that 1% increase in air cargo connectivity is linked to a 6.3% rise in trade by value. In effect, better air cargo IT connectivity leads to more trade. Of course, while statistics like this could help associations like IATA and TIACA persuade some states to support air freight connectivity – there is still of course the gap in belief in the industry itself to overcome.
